Earth Hour 2009

In 2008, Malaysia participated in celebrating Earth Hour… However, participation was limited, as there were little or no publicity to the event. For year 2009, Earth Hour will be commemorated on 28th MARCH 2009. 2,140 cities, towns and municipalities in 82 countries have already committed to VOTE EARTH for Earth Hour 2009, as part of the worlds first global election between Earth and global warming. Let’s us join together to support this coming global movement “Earth Hour”. This event is undertaken as a measure to reduce global warming and raise awareness on global climate change.

Date : 28 MARCH 2009
Time : 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm
How : By turning off all lights from 8.30pm to 9.30pm at home.
